The Oisín McGrath Foundation are delighted to be taking part in this year's "Celebration of Sport". We will be providing taster sessions on running around the running track at the Forum from 1 pm on Wed 9th March 2016.
Everyone is invited to the Lakeland Forum on Wednesday 9 March, 1.00pm-6.00pm, to join in this years’ “Celebration of Sport”. The annual event is being organised by the Department of Culture, Arts & Leisure and Sport Northern Ireland.
The Lakeland Forum will welcome some of our top sports people and give everyone an opportunity to celebrate the superb sporting achievements in 2015.
Medal winners from an array of sports in 2015 will join the fun including Ulster Rugby Scrum-Half, Paul Marshall who will accompany Q101 presenter Stevie King to commentate throughout the day. Local clubs will be providing an opportunity for people to try a wide range of sports including boxing, archery, cycling, curling, angling, golf, agility wall, climbing wall, football, Gaelic and rugby.
Over a thousand local school children have already booked their place from 1.00pm, but the event is open to the public and everyone is welcome. In particular family and friends are encouraged to cheer on local schools in the Tug Of War Challenge, commencing at 3.00pm and join in the fun which continues until 6.00pm.
Persons under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Due to the scale of this event and to keep safety paramount, we are having to close the car park to all except those attending to use the gym facilities. A full list of available parking in Enniskillen town centre can be found on the Fermanagh and Omagh website www.fermanaghomagh.com and typing in ‘off street parking’ into the search bar.
